There are times when everything is so bright and vivid and new. It's nearly unbearable, the extreme whiteness. Driving down a country road playing music at high volume, I felt that rush of cold, of unexplored territory and hastily crossed boundaries. I Think I'm Goin' Back.

Well, this is the last night of summer. I should probably be out doing summer things and like, celebrating my youth or whatever, but I've just been finishing packing and watching Eureka. I figure I did enough youth-celebrating this summer. It's really been an interesting few months. They've been boring, irritating, nerve-wracking, stressful, and terribly mundane. But they've also been unexpected, exhilarating, hilarious, poignant, and absolutely wonderful. I didn't expect my summer to go the way it did. Honestly, there was no way to predict it. It was just completely unprecedented. Summers like the one I had come around once in a lifetime

Growing Up

So I keep seeing people on Tumblr reblogging things about how they wish they could "ungrow up" and go back to being kids so they could relive their childhood, presumably forever. I just don't feel like that. I mean, I really enjoyed my childhood, but I don't understand why I can't still enjoy the things that I liked then. I mean, I still like Disney, I eat kids' foods sometimes, I try to live my life with a sort of childlike sense of curiosity and wonder.
